Sobyanin spoke about the new Irina Viner Sports Palace in Vatutinki
The Mayor of Moscow inspected the progress of construction of the Kaluga Highway alternate (Mamyri-Penino-Sharapovo route) and also talked to young athletes from the Irina Viner Sports and Education Palace
"In 2012, new territories were annexed to our city. Today, 8 districts of New Moscow are home to at least 750 thousand Muscovites. In fact, more than one million people probably live in New Moscow. New Moscow in 2012-2024 is 10 new metro stations, 8 MCD stations, over 30 million square meters of residential and commercial real estate, almost 400 km of new roads, more than 200 thousand new jobs, and about 200 new social facilities. In the coming years, we plan to further actively develop these territories," noted Sergei Sobyanin.According to Sergei Sobyanin, the creation of a new road framework is one of the main priorities of the New Moscow development program. And one of the key projects for the coming years is the construction of a backup of the Kaluga Highway - a route about 23 km long (in a straight line), which will run from the future Tyutchevskaya metro station in the MKAD area to the city of Troitsk.
The new highway will improve transport services for over 320,000 people – residents of the Kommunarka districts (the settlement of the Mosrentgen plant, the residential complex "Ispaniskie kvartaly", the villages of Nikolo-Khovanskoye, Prokshino, Letovo), Filimonkovsky and Troitsk. By 2040, the population in the areas adjacent to the highway will grow to approximately 600,000 people.
The Irina Viner Sports and Education Palace was built as part of the residential complex "District of Russian Designers" - nine tower houses. The variable-height building has a unique architectural appearance. Its main feature is a dome with an area of 6.2 thousand square meters in the form of a multifaceted black and gold crystal, consisting of more than 30 thousand elements. The multifunctional sports and educational complex includes: the Irina Viner Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, the Fight Night Martial Arts Academy, public spaces for exhibition and educational events, a food court and entertainment areas.
In just a few months, the Irina Viner Sports and Education Palace has become an important attraction for sports and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts in TiNAO. Since the opening of the complex, 20 sports and mass events have been held, attended by 5 thousand people.
