The first five-star hotel opened in the very center of Yaroslavl. It is located on the Volga embankment. The hotel is part of the Orlov hotels chain, which also owns the three-star Lyubim and the four-star Sokolena.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Mikhail Evraev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Yaroslavl Technical University named after V. Yu. Orlov" Sergey Orlov and General Director of "Yaroslavl Technical University named after V. Yu. Orlov" Alexander Orlov. The idea to name the hotel "Lastochka" belonged to the former director of Yaroslavl Tekhuglerod (owner of Orlov hotels) Vadim Orlov. It was inspired by the film by director Eldar Ryazanov "Cruel Romance", based on the play by Alexander Ostrovsky "Dowry". The action of the film takes place right on the Volga embankment.
The new hotel is not just a high-class hotel. It is a conceptual project. Everything here should remind guests that they are in an ancient Russian city, the capital of the Golden Ring.
On the walls in the corridors there are photographs of old Yaroslavl, at the entrance there is an intercom stylized as the last century, and outside the window, as in the good old days, the Volga slowly flows. A special calm atmosphere has been created here, as if time, if not stopped, then slowed down so that guests could enjoy their rest.
— Another restaurant and hotel complex has been put into operation, the second in a year, — said Alexander Orlov, General Director of JSC Yaroslavl Technical Carbon named after V. Yu. Orlov, at the opening ceremony. — I would like to thank everyone who took part in this project.
Despite the spirit of antiquity that reigns in the hotel, tourists can expect the benefits of modern civilization here. The hotel has 15 premium rooms, three junior suites, a suite, an apartment and a suite. Each room has a shower, Italian cosmetics, a large-screen TV, Wi-Fi. There is even a miracle phone equipped with a charging system for various gadgets. Guests can enjoy the conceptual restaurant "Barin" with a view of the Volga, a conference hall and banquet areas.
At the opening ceremony, the Lastochka Hotel received an official certificate from the Russian Hotel Association stating that it had passed certification and earned the 5-star category.
— It is clear that not only money was invested, but also the heart, everything was done with soul, — noted Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. — The project was implemented by a Yaroslavl investor, one of the largest taxpayers in the region, who is engaged in the development of production and at the same time implements social projects, participates in the development of the region's tourism infrastructure. Tourism is a very promising direction for Yaroslavl. We have a huge historical and cultural potential, which, with the expansion of the hotel stock, increased transport accessibility, and the holding of interesting, vibrant events, will increase the number of tourists.
