Russian Design District Recognized as Design Object No. 1

The cultural and educational cluster Russian Design District was recognized as the best in the Designer Object No. 1 nomination. It is a competition between projects with the most striking design solutions in architecture, interior and landscaping, as well as at the level of the concept of the residential complex and its relevance in terms of modern design trends.
Russian Design District passed three stages of selection to win in the Designer Object No. 1 nomination. At the first stage, a public vote took place, and the majority of Internet users gave their preference to the project. At the second stage, the project was selected by professionals in the field of architecture, development, real estate, design and other related fields. At the third stage, the project was reviewed by the jury of the award, which includes relevant government officials, architects, and representatives of industry media.
“We had no doubt that RDD would win, because no one had ever created a development product before us in which the main focus was design in all its manifestations,” said Ksenia Yuryeva, Commercial Director of the Rodina Group. - In the cultural and educational cluster Russian Design District, design will become the starting point in creating an architectural concept, organizing educational infrastructure, and also in forming the cluster space. In other words, in all aspects, we will, one way or another, implement the design concept of the project."
Stars in the field of design and other creative and business spheres are participating in the creation of the architectural appearance of the cultural and educational cluster Russian Design District. In addition, the Russian Design District will become an incubator for the formation of professionals in the field of design of the widest profile (from artistic design to virtual and augmented reality, game design, web interfaces, digital design, etc.). The cluster will be based at the Design and Technology Art School (DATA), which will open with the participation of one of the top universities. The best architects, sculptors, artists from all over Russia Together with graduates of the School of Design, they will participate in the transformation of the environment and the cultural and educational cluster of the Russian Design District itself, changing or supplementing landscape solutions, lighting, creating new art objects, transforming small architectural forms. Thus, RDD will have a dynamic aesthetic environment.
